Design Green is a competition to honor Southern California projects that integrate exceptional design with new high performance standards for sustainability, LEED certified for their effectiveness, while redefining the architectural landscape. This year's jury drew on the insights of internationally recognized design, theory and sustainability leaders from Denmark and the United States. The jury met in Copenhagen: regularly on top ten lists of livable cities to review work from the perspective of one of the world's most socially and environmentally responsible cultures.
The Design Green Awards were presented at both the AIA/LA Awards on October 27 and USGBC/LA Green Gala on November 3rd. We thank AIA/LA and USGBC/LA for including Design Green as part of their programs. We extend special thanks to our AFLA partners and Design Green sponsors whose support make this program possible.
